on tagging posts
I almost wish I had not started tagging my posts. After two months of blogging, I can’t say if I am tagging consistently or not. Should I write “confidence” or “self-confidence,” “kids” or “children”? What did I write the last time? Should I be tagging individuals or just themes? Am I using too many tags, too few? Etc.
I thought about going through all the posts and re-tagging them – a great use of my time – but the thing is, while I might achieve some consistency across the posts I’ve written, I could not maintain it going forward.
I am sorry for choosing the category system I have as most of my posts are “reflections” on this or that, but what people care about is precisely the this or that – there may be two people on the planet who would read a post just because I have written it.
I may re-do the category system at a certain moment and just accept that the tags will be inconsistent.
But that is a project for another day.
